marketing_summary: https://dhvanil.com/pb27-marketing.txt
project_context: https://dhvanil.com/pb27.txt
scope: captured discussions for 41 curated social posts; not every public mention
encoding: UTF-8
This companion contains the captured public response indices from the local
marketing ledger through the October 28 audit. Per-post sections preserve older
observations, exact public bodies or explicitly labeled summaries, public media
links, IDs, authors, timestamps, parent relationships and visible engagement.
Latest collection precision: October 28 morning CET; individual minutes were
not retained. UTC publication timestamps and relative labels remain distinct.
The URL's historical "complete" name does not imply exhaustive platform access.
Known gaps: Ginkgo Reddit has 172 counted / 166 cumulative stable IDs / gap 6;
TikTok Faces Plate has 1 counted / 0 rendered / gap 1. Ginkgo's full old tree was
not re-expanded on October 28. Its October 24 section states rendering limits.
Reddit balloons has 13 live bodies plus one deleted historical placeholder;
Row Displacement has 13/13 and the August 12 arm post 8/8. TikTok Row Displacement
has 2/2 and jellyfish 1/1; all other TikToks count zero except Faces Plate.
X direct-reply gaps were reconciled in the morning audit. Historical unions can
contain entries absent from the current rendering. Older quotes/reposters and
account-wide mentions were not comprehensively rechecked. A root reply counter
does not include every nested answer. Reposter identities are not response IDs.
Read each dated block at its own cutoff: an older "latest" label or unresolved
gap is historical when a later block follows. A deleted comment's earlier body
is preserved as an old observation, not presented as currently visible. Public
asset URLs may expire. No private messages, credentials, drafts, local source
paths or unpublished artwork are included. No social-account action was taken.

### October 24 signed-in additions
Observed 20:46–20:48 CEST, using Recent ordering and direct reply pages. Added **11 previously unarchived response IDs** below. Displayed root count: 13. Current rendering exposed 12 root IDs plus 4 nested answers on the root page (16 IDs), including Nil's camera follow-up. Two older archived roots (Mahesh Reddy and Zero G Talent) did not render here. The cumulative root archive therefore contains 14 historical IDs against the current counter of 13; it is not valid to equate these different snapshots. The previously archived Ian Johnson branch remains preserved separately. Current root rendering has a one-reply gap; do not call the full current conversation complete.

so the entire flow is literally just a prompt: "hey agent, pls look at the three cameras, and find the tool mcp" | 5 views in signed-in thread; 7 in later public detail |
The recovery and contact-compliance comments are substantive technical responses. Nil answered Ingvar; TARSBOT's statement has no rendered answer. Nil's “recovers flawlessly” wording is preserved as a public claim, not endorsed as a new physical validation. The literal posted term is “tool mcp”. No private message was opened in response to Fede's public comment.
### October 24 quotes and linked mentions
The quote-activity page rendered two known quotes of this root plus one new linked mention. It also displayed unrelated parent posts as context; their engagement is excluded. At this reading, Nil's [reply to thijs](https://x.com/dhvanil/status/2097365573667631506) had 910 views, 8 likes, 3 bookmarks; [@EchoesOfIntent](https://x.com/EchoesOfIntent/status/2097441964845363618), now displayed as monochrome, had 447 views and 2 likes. Three previously archived root quotes were absent in this rendering, so earlier records remain intact.
New mention: [Tahir D'Mello / @TahirMello, 2098127141364007149](https://x.com/TahirMello/status/2098127141364007149), **2026-09-10 21:11 CEST**, 267 views / 4 likes. It replies to [Zeon Systems](https://x.com/zeonsystems/status/2098121083882971323), quotes Jay Chooi, and links this PB27 calibration post among code-as-policy examples. ### October 28 discussion check
Observed 2026-10-28 morning CET (UTC+01:00). **13 counted direct replies / 13 rendered direct replies / 19 distinct discussion IDs including nested responses / direct gap 0**. Recent ordering rendered thirteen roots plus four nested answers; Ian Johnson’s direct branch supplied two more responses. Zero G Talent now renders, resolving October 24’s one-direct-reply gap. The historical union still contains fourteen direct IDs; Mahesh’s older root was not in this current rendering and is preserved historically. Current count and historical union are different sets. The newest rendered root is Ingvar’s October 14 question; no post-October-24 response appeared.
Earlier full bodies and response relationships remain above. This is a current discussion check, not a fresh exhaustive quote/ordinary-reposter inventory; hidden or removed material cannot be inferred from counters.

Did you buy it or make it? Also how do you control it. I imagine that it's not as simple as having an inkscape plug-in. Is the control self-coded? | score 2 |
| [19rlf9830xbdw](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlotterArt/comments/1xee9jd/comment/19rlf9830xbdw/) | u/dhvanil | 2026-10-24T18:20:00.297Z | 1 | 19rldxuwohsrl | thank you! i bought it secondhand (it's xArm 7 by ufactory).
i have a digital twin of the workspace, and there's some code that does inverse kinematics and collision checks based on any given artwork. the routines for dipping in water, cleaning brush, etc are taught thru manual control. the paper positioning, color wells, sponge positioning etc is by a vision LLM.
a lot of the control and detection code is just hand rolled by Opus and Astra. if you are curious, i'm documenting more technicalities here: [dhvanil.com/pb27](https://dhvanil.com/pb27) (there's also an agent friendly .txt file at the very bottom with even more details) | score 1 |
### October 28 chronological completion
Observed 2026-10-28 morning CET (UTC+01:00). Best and then Old ordering exposed the same **14 stable IDs: 13 live comments plus one deleted placeholder**, against **13 counted comments**. All 13 counted live bodies are captured; live-body gap 0. Eleven IDs below are new to this archive.
`19rlckylxz74x` now renders as deleted with no body or author. Its October 24 “nice plotter” body and author remain historical above; the child’s text must not be mistaken for the deleted parent. The older aavigan question now has score 1 and Nil’s initial answer score 3.

It wasn't programmed to do this. It came up with the idea for the drawing "on its own", so it's somewhat original, which is certainly interesting. Never before the past few years have we been able to ask a computer to do what it wants with a creative project. Neat to see something tangible.

If we go by the assumption that typical ai generated art is not art, then that leaves a few options here. Is the picture it drew considered art? It's obviously definitively different from standard diffusion models. If so, is it owned by ChatGPT/Codex? Because that would make it public domain.
Or is the entire process more in line with performance art? The code that synced the arm to Codex's "brain", the movements of the arm, watching as the robot draws. If thats the actual art, who own that? Is it the guy who built all of it? If Codex was used to write that code, does it still partially belong to the Ai? I wonder how this would land in a copyright case, legally.](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1vetuhn/comment/p1kwdo4/) |

It was 256 strokes – did Codex write the full set of instructions as G-code from scratch, or did it produce an SVG path and plot that? I assume all strokes were pre-planned, it wasn't iterating/editing in-the-loop using the overhead cam?
Was it just a coincidence that it drew 256 strokes, or do square numbers factor into the code somehow?

So, there's no g-code involved here -- codex + fable built a procedural SVG generator for leaf like shapes, and then the runner mapped those paths onto the camera-calibrated paper, resampled them into 3,897 points, solved the robot poses, optimized the stroke order, and sent motion commands through the xarm SDK.
the arm has 7 dof, which makes the kinematics a bit tricky: many different elbow/wrist configurations can put the pen at exactly the same point. so the planner has to keep the robot on one known-safe joint branch and reject any sudden null-space flips.
to simplify things, it's drawing in fixed-yaw mode -- the nib kept the same orientation relative to the paper while the seven joints moved around it. every route was preplanned and FK-checked before motion. this can sometimes lead to stick slip effect. I had some misadventures with that, and hence codex now has learnt to makes the strokes in such a way that the tangential motion is in opposite direction of pen tilt.
the overhead camera registered the paper + four magnets, and has a the steel plate plane calibrated -- so it can plan the exact xy location and size of the artwork. it does check in between with the camera, sometimes in the past i've had issues with bad paper plane calibration (it has about 1deg tilt, so one corner of the paper is a bit lower than the other, and the pen was not drawing there) -- but for this one it worked perfectly.
and 256 was just a coincidence haha! I checked afterwards, good eye! :D](https://www.reddit.com/r/codex/comments/1vetuhn/comment/p1qc9gb/) |
